Year 3 students I worked with:
Student 1: Thai Minh Ngoc Nguyen
Her story included a little girl attending a festival with her father, and after wondering off she ends up turning into a piglet. (She does turn back human in the end). My job on this was to do some rough animations for the pig transformation. I would say my animation was not too smooth and was quite fast due to few inbetweens, but since its a rough animation I would not be too worried about it. I managed to complete this all on TV Paint by following the animatic and character design plan.
Student 2: Adreea-Lorena-Florea
I don't particularly know what the story is about, but from my understanding it involved two lovers in an ethereal-like fantasy setting. My job on this was to colour over the animation of the opening scene, and to add lighting effects over some of the scenes. I managed to get the colouring all done on TV Paint and the lighting effects were added on in CapCut.

She did say that she liked the little lights swirling around, but the side light was a bit too powerful and if I could remove it or make it very soft. So I lessened the sparks and tried weakening the light a little by using a fading effect.
After I did some lighting effects on the eyes. I ended up doing two videos with slightly different lighting intensities, because my client did state she did not have much of a clear vision on what she wanted for this scene.
For the eyes she needed a warm golden light over the first bit and a cold blueish purpleish light to the second bit. Since it was not too clear in her mind how she wanted it done, I tried taking inspiration from bits of the opening scene in HBO's Euphoria with Rue in the party. I find the lighting in the show very beautiful and artistic and I thought it would help set a standard for my work with the lighting.

Since my client did state that the eye lighting was too strong and maybe a ray of light could be better, she did say that it was ok and that she'd do something else with it. She didn't have a clear view on it as the other one so she did admit she couldn't direct me too well on this. Apart from that she said I did amazingly and that I am nailing this project! I'm pleased with the feedback at the end of the day.
